Day 01: Arrival in Colombo / Transfer to Nuwara Eliya / Check-in / Evening stroll around Gregory Lake / Overnight in Nuwara Eliya

Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo and meet your driver for the approximately 5–6-hour scenic drive to Nuwara Eliya. The route passes rolling hills, tea plantations, and small towns, with opportunities for short breaks and photos. Check in at a hotel or boutique guesthouse in Nuwara Eliya. Spend the evening taking a gentle stroll around Gregory Lake, enjoying the cool climate and views of the surrounding hills. Dinner at the hotel or a nearby restaurant. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 02: Full-day hill country exploration: tea plantations, factory tour, and Hakgala Botanical Garden / Optional horse riding / Overnight in Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast, embark on a full-day exploration of Nuwara Eliya’s hill country. Visit sprawling tea plantations and a working tea factory to learn about tea production, finishing with a tasting session of fresh Ceylon teas. Continue to Hakgala Botanical Garden to see exotic plants, orchids, and serene walking paths. Optional horse riding or pony rides are available near Gregory Lake for families. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon. Evening at leisure, with optional strolls or local dining. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 03: Transfer to Pinnawala / Visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage / Afternoon drive to Weligama / Check-in / Evening beach leisure / Overnight in Weligama

After breakfast, drive approximately 2–3 hours to Pinnawala. Spend the morning at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, watching elephants bathe in the river and learning about conservation efforts. After lunch, continue approximately 3 hours to Weligama on the southern coast. Check in at a beachfront hotel or guesthouse. Spend the evening relaxing on Weligama Beach, enjoying the sunset and beach activities. Overnight in Weligama.

Day 04: Surfing lessons or free time at Weligama Beach / Optional visit to Mirissa for whale watching / Overnight in Weligama

Morning surf lesson at Weligama Beach with certified instructors or free time to swim, relax, or explore the town. For those interested, take an optional half-day trip to Mirissa (30–40 minutes by car) for a whale and dolphin watching excursion. Afternoon and evening at leisure to enjoy the beach or local cafés. Overnight in Weligama.

Day 05: Drive back to Colombo / Quick city highlights or shopping / Airport transfer

After breakfast, check out and drive approximately 2.5–3 hours to Colombo. Depending on flight schedules, enjoy a brief city highlights tour including Galle Face Green, Gangaramaya Temple, or Pettah Market for shopping. Continue to Bandaranaike International Airport for your departure.
